This was a great book. BUT..............It ended like crap. A cliffhanger. Book 2 in the series started out with a totally different story with totally different characters. Let me know when the sequel or whatever you want to call it comes out. I might read it. This stinks. Finish your dang books.....................Product details

Claire is an electrical technician. She is working on a big project when she meets the arrogant Luke. Luke is a billionaire and owner of the property. He wants Claire and nothing will stop him. But Claire is in over her head with the job, her side job of flipping houses, and taking care of her father's nursing home bill. Luke offers to give her money and she spends three days with him. She refuses the money but goes away to New York with him for a grand opening of one of his buildings. She realizes her mistake when she falls in love with him and he keeps his heart closed off. She breaks it off when they return and her flip house has been vandalized. Then Luke gets the call that someone fell at his site and starts wondering are the two related.

Warning...this book dissent
Warning....this book doesn't end. It's only half a book. There's a lot of sex and very little story. I skipped half of it and then find out that there is no conclusion. Don't waste your time..
When the author of this book posted in one of the book groups I'm apart of that her first book in this series was free I read the blurb and then downloaded it. I was intrigued and read the book a few nights later. Oh my gosh! Let me just say, I'm so impressed with this novel! It reminded me of a lot of my favorite series like the Driven series, Crossfire series, etc. Those books were perfect for me and this book is now added to the list. I loved both the main characters from the beginning and I appreciated that I saw character development throughout the book. Unique plot as well. I highly recommend this book!
Claire English is an electrical contractor who doesn’t back down from a challenge. When she’s faced with a problem, she fixes it, plain and simple. So when she barges into the construction trailer determined to fix a faulty lightning plan, she didn’t expect to meet her match, the developer of the project, Luke Masters. Used to fighting for what she wants and never backing down, she doesn’t anticipate Luke, who drives both her sanity and her body crazy. She isn’t used to giving her control away but with Luke, she might be willing to…even if that means losing a piece of herself.
Luke is captivated by the beautiful and stubborn Claire English, whom he can’t stop thinking about. He’s dated countless women in the past, all whom seem to care about his power and money, but Claire isn’t like them. She doesn’t want any of that though, she only wants his respect and for him to open up. He knows the only way to get Claire out of his head is to get her out of his system. But Claire is stubborn and so is he.

Like I said above, this book rocks my socks. As soon as I finished reading this first book I hurried to start reading book two and so far I'm loving the next book! It leaves off where this book left off. Yes, this book ends in a minor cliffhanger, but nothing too shocking or suspenseful that makes you want to chuck your kindle/book at the wall. I'm quite intrigued at the direction the series is going. I'm left with more questions than I have answers, which makes reading book two exciting! I can't wait to figure out the big mystery (That I'm not going to talk about further because it's a spoiler) and find out about Luke's past.

This story was about a hard working woman in a man's world of construction and a billionaire who decided he wanted her for a one-night stand. Only one might wasn't enough. As he tries to help her when she is over-extended, she resists. Until disaster strikes. Together they work and....well, you'll have to get the story to learn the rest.
I was enchanted with the story until I realized it was a four parter, one of those books that end in a cliffhanger that makes you buy another book , etc, etc. I didn't like then in lady's magazines and I don't like them on . So,while this is a well written book, with an even better storyline, I o.ly gave it a 3 star rating. By the time you read the four books, you'll have spent approximately $12 or so. It's your decision.
Whoever came up with the idea to sell books in parts needs to rethink the idea. It's darn frustrating, irritating and totally unnecessary to tell a story in parts, lead Nguyen the reader with a cliffhanger. I will not buy the next TWO installments of this book and will not read anything more from this author if it's not the entire story. Too bad, too, since it was a good book and I'd like to know the rest. But, there are just too many books out there to have to buy books in parts. I'll read other WHOLE books in this one will be lost to better, more complete stories.
Aside from the frequent typos - did anybody even bother reading this before they published it - the story was so cliched it was painful. CLIFFHANGER - when I buy a book I expect the story line to be complete - an introduction to the characters and the situation - the challenges and their resolution - but most importantly I expect a closure to the major problem presented not a lead in to another book. Oh but there is lots of very graphic - if repetitive - gratuitous sex.
The book was great. Great storyline and vivid characters! Sexual without being pornographic. This is the only reason I'm giving it a poor review There's a big blow up between the main characters and then NOTHING!! Come to find out, you have to buy TWO more books to find out what is the conclusion. There was no forewarning that's the deal at the beginning.
